How do I choose my vehicle?
You may already know exactly what you want, in which case, we can provide you with a price straight away, just complete our online quote request form or telephone us on 0845 519 2506.
If you need some assistance picking your model, you may find what you are looking for here on our website. Simply select from the models shown on the left hand side of the screen. Alternatively, send us a quote request online, or telephone us on 0845 519 2506, and we shall work hard to find you your ideal model.
If you would prefer to choose your vehicle directly from the whole range of models and options available from Volkswagen, prior to contacting us, you are able to do this using the excellent Volkswagen Configurator at www.volkswagen.co.uk. After configuring a vehicle on the Volkswagen site, it is possible to save your configuration as a PDF, which you are able to email to us in order for us to provide you with a price on a matching specification.
How many quotations am I able to request?
There is no limit to the number of quotations that you are able to request, although price alone is not always the best way to choose a vehicle, so we are happy to help you select your ideal vehicle, based on your requirements.
What do I have to pay - and when?
The total amount that you pay is the price that we quote you for the vehicle. There are no other hidden extras or fees.
We take a deposit of £1,000.00 when the vehicle order is placed. This can be paid by cheque, online or by card.
The balance is paid directly to the dealership, immediately prior to the vehicle being delivered - although the dealer requires cleared funds in order to be able to delivered the vehicle. So, if you are paying by cheque, this will be required by the dealer sooner.
Do I have to collect my car, or is it delivered to me?
The prices quoted include delivery of your vehicle to you by a professional delivery driver. If you prefer to collect your vehicle from the dealership, this would be fine. Alternatively, if you would like to have your car delivered to you on a trailer, this can be arranged although it may incur a small additional cost.
Can I finance my new car through YourNewVolkswagen?
Yes. If you would like to arrange Hire Purchase, this is something that we are able to do for you, spreading your payments over a period to suit you.
Am I able to lease my car?
Yes, although, this would be handled by our partner company, YourNewCar, who specialise in the leasing of all vehicles.
How long will it take to receive my new car?
This is a difficult question to answer, as some vehicles are available from stock and could be delivered within a few days, whereas others will need to be ordered from the factory.
If a vehicle is not in stock, the lead times vary from manufacturer to manufacturer. and also from model to model, depending on demand. Typically, lead times range from 6 to 12 weeks, although there are a small number of (usually highly desirable) models where longer lead times may be seen.
We are able to provide information on expected lead times prior to an order being placed ande, during the time that your vehicle is on order, we shall keep you updated with its progress, so that you are always aware of the order status.
What happens if my vehicle is delayed?
In most cases, the lead time information provided by vehicle manufacturers is very accurate.
There are, however, some instances where a vehicle may be delayed due to production issues at the factory. We keep in close contact with dealers so that we are able to identify potential delays as early as possible, so that we are able to keep customers updated.
Vehicles ordered through YourNewVolkswagen are never subjected to any more risk of delay than a vehicle that you would order directly through a dealer. So, any delay experienced will be the same for all customers across the UK who have ordered the same vehicle.
In the event of an unavoidable delay, we are able to offer a range of interim vehicles at highly competitive rates, directly through our partner company Enterprise, which would prevent you from being left without a vehicle during this time.
Am I able to part-exchange my current vehicle?
If you have an existing vehicle, although we are unfortunately not able to take vehicles in part-exchange, there are a number of options available for you:
If you want the highest possible price for your existing vehicle, it pays to sell your vehicle privately, with Autotrader.co.uk being our favourite site for doing this. Currently, you are able to advertise a vehicle for 2 weeks online with Autotrader from as little as £9.99.
Alternatively, if you are looking for the lowest amount of hassle, there are a number of sites online where you are able to sell your car for cash. We do not have links to any of these sites, so are not in a position to comment on their services, although it is worth comparing at least two different sites:
What happens if I cancel my order?
In the event that you decide to cancel the order that you have placed for your new vehicle, there are no additional charges, although your deposit will be retained.
However, should your vehicle be delayed by more than 30 days, your deposit would be returned to you, should you need to cancel the vehicle order.
We would always do everything possible to prevent your order from being delayed. However, should it not be possible to do so, we are able to offer a range of interim vehicles at highly competitive rates, directly through our partner company Enterprise, which would prevent you from being left without a vehicle during this time.
